We're Jeannie & Adam.
BAR TEN 1869 is a small family business born from creativity, curiosity, and a shared love of making everyday things feel a little more special.
From handcrafted soaps and body care to candles and home fragrance, everything we create is made by us in our historic 1869 home in Downtown Leesburg, Virginia. We choose quality ingredients, distinctive fragrances, and make our products in small batches with care and intention.
Our inspiration comes from many places—but the breweries, wineries, and distilleries surrounding us have become an important part of our story. They inspired us to experiment with real beer, wine, bourbon, and hops in some of our products and helped shape the character that eventually became BAR TEN.
MEET JEANNIE
Jeannie is the creative force behind much of what happens at BAR TEN. A lifelong maker and educator, she began making soap in 2017 and quickly discovered a place where creativity, experimentation, fragrance, color, and formulation could all come together. What started as one creative outlet kept expanding—from soap to body care, candles, home fragrance, beard care, and whatever idea comes next. She's happiest experimenting, refining, and figuring out how to make something just a little better.
MEET ADAM
Adam brings his own creativity—and a very different set of talents to BAR TEN. Together, Jeannie and Adam have built the business into something that reflects both of their strengths.
From making products and preparing for markets to building, problem-solving, and helping turn Jeannie's latest idea into something real, Adam is an essential part of what BAR TEN has become. And their shared love of exploring local breweries, wineries, and distilleries continues to inspire their work.

BAR reflects the handcrafted soap bars at the heart of what we make and the brewery, winery, and distillery community that has inspired so much of our journey.
TEN carries forward Ten Inch Smile—the name that started it all.
1869 belongs to our historic Downtown Leesburg home, where our products are still handcrafted today.
The name has changed. The hands making everything haven't.
